Do you ever picture God smiling? What would make Him smile? Do you think He smiles at you? Do you think He likes you? Those are important questions because they paint either an accurate or distorted picture of your Heavenly Father.
“He reached down from on high and took hold of me; He drew me out of deep waters….
He rescued me because He delighted in me.”
Psalm 18:16,19
God delights in you. He really does. And His delight isn’t rooted in your performance. It is rooted in His deep love and affection for you, as His child.
Can you even picture it in your mind? The God of all creation, smiling at and with you? If that is difficult to imagine, I get it. I struggle with it too. But what if it’s true? He really loves you. He’s on your side. He desires to know you more because He can’t love you any more than He already does. You make Him smile. Every time you call out to Him, He delights in rescuing you.
