If You Struggle With Exhaustion Or Anxiety, You’re Not Disqualified From God’s Grace Or Calling

Do you struggle with fear or anxiety?  Then do you heap shame on yourself because you think Christians aren’t supposed to worry? You’re in good company, fearful friend!

I love the story of Elijah. He was a hero of faith in the Bible. He lived out his faith in remarkable ways. And guess what?

“Elijah was afraid and ran for his life.” 1 Kings 19:3

When he got tired from running, he sat under a tree and begged God to end his life.  He wasn’t only afraid, he was exhausted and depressed.  What did God do?  He miraculously fed him, gave him time to rest, and continued to use him in powerful ways.

If you’re struggling with exhaustion or anxiety, you’re in good company. God has compassion for everything you’re facing and feeling. You may need to rest. Invite God to tend to your heart.  But none of that disqualifies you from God’s grace or calling on your life.  So, battle on.  You’re in really good company!  – Sandi
